At our secluded beach cottage you will enjoy, not only comfort, peace and privacy, but:
Outstanding sea views, with King George Beach immediately in front of you. Sometimes sandy, sometimes rocky, depending on what the weather has delivered over winter. Magnificent pristine beaches are abundant on the island, offering diving, swimming, surfing, snorkelling, fishing. Snelling Beach and Stokes Bay are a very short drive if you want to venture out.
The island is teeming with wildlife, such as koalas, wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas; native birds such as kookaburras, wedge tail eagles, miniature blue wrens; farm animals grazing on the hillsides. We often see dolphins frolicking in the bay in front of the cottage, not to mention visits by Cecil, our local seal and Percival our resident pelican.
Rugged unspoilt rural location.
Pet-friendly accommodation (by prior arrangement only please) ... and, yes we have Wi-fi
About King George Beach Cottage:
2 Guests | 2 Bedrooms | 3 Beds | 1 Bathroom | Parking | WiFi | Linen Provided
Situated on a unique and secluded part of the 500 km Kangaroo Island sea coast, King George Beach Cottage is a holiday home on the beach front between Stokes Bay and Snelling Beach. Free WiFi and private parking is available on site, although the internet is via satellite, and not ideal for streaming. Just keeping in touch.....
The kitchen is well equipped, and we also provide a Weber gas BBQ. A flat-screen TV and DVD player, as well as an iPod docking station are available.
A great base in the middle of the beautiful north coast, from which to explore the island, or just stay put and soak up the ambience.
Guests are able to access the entire cottage, except for one room which is locked and used as a store room. It is cosy, not huge and spacious, but comfortable and a wonderful opportunity for a break in a natural environment. With comfort.
Interaction with guests
We live in the only other cottage at King George Beach, so are usually around to assist if necessary. We assume guests will have chosen this cove for its remoteness and mostly peaceful serenity, so we prefer not to impose, and to respect your space.
Other things to note
King George Beach is a remote location, so it is advisable to bring all your own provisions. We do leave basics in the cottage which you are welcome to use. We also live off rainwater we collect - there is no mains water supply - so we respectfully ask guests to be water wise. There is wildlife in abundance.
